1 I love the COD have played every title extensively. My wife will back that statement she sighs and reevaluates her life choices.
2 BF2/BC2/BF3 are fantastic I will not bash them. That said, BF is really a different experience, with huge battlefields, variations of vehicles, plus a range of player roles. 3 I play multiplayer within the PC almost exclusively, so I wont offer much inside way of comments on single player mode in this particular review.

MW3 is equipped with its good points, but on balance, the game is often a disappointment. I started using the original COD title in then jumped into COD:UO, which my gaming group modified heavily. The capability to host mods and custom maps on UO servers kept those servers running, fresh, and populated for decades.
COD2 provided the same experience, but much better graphics, but sadly, no vehicles. That said, we modded the heck from it and just shut those servers down a few weeks ago. That was the endurance of that game.

Game is amazing, unfortunitly the PC version has run out of control with individuals using bots and hacking programs, completely unplayable 90% on the time. There are ways of reporting people, ie. people who got 120-1 inside a 10 minute game, though the reports go unanswered. Normally I dont complain and merely deal with it, but this can be the first time I wish I could return an activity and get my money-back.

In 3 hours, I saw 3 aimbotters using the title BOOM! Headshot. One went 94 and 6 approximately.
And it is not the worst thing; I am constantly, otherwise every game then in close proximity to it, dying on account of lag.
Ill shoot someone three to four times, die, and see around the kill cam that almost all of time Im not even aiming near him.
Im just glad I paid fewer than half price for the game.

Some serious points that still exist from mw2 plus some that are new.
1. Still no dedicated servers for your PC platform brings about numerous issues:
No strategy to configure map rotation, mods or have favorite servers
2. Game glitches. Like the infinite stealth bomber glitch that's exploited.
3. Lag. The game has stutter lag you do frequently. Basically the experience freezes for around a second or two every little bit of playtime.
4. Map sizeto small. I am a huge fan of mw2 maps when you got a real mix. I was really disappointed they put little or no effort to the maps for mw3. Every map is indeed small so it causes a trouble with spawning. There is also not much strategy linked to playing as you'll be able to get from a single point on the next within a few seconds. The best you may hope for would be to camp choke points to route enemy advancement.
5. Weapon selection. While there are several primary weapons available you are restricted to only a couple of viable solutions. Sub machine guns have ended powered using the most powerful being the p90. There are restricted choices for an extra selection however the machine pistol followed by akimbo are going to be all you may use to be competitive. The game suffers greatly because of this imbalance of weapons.

To help put this review in persepctive, I are already playing Call of Duty since its PC roots with COD 1 and possess played every COD form portable spin offs. Before the game I had become incredibly bored with the COD forumula, and MW3 left me feeling very unsure concerning the future on this series. This game was going for being my last go at buying COD on release day. Ill break this review into categories with the sake of readability.
Graphics: As someone who familiar with play these games on Xbox 360, the jump to my more advanced PC really presents little difference visually from MW3 on Xbox. Thats not to say the overall game looks bad, the characters gear and facial expressions look detailed as well as the environent and weather effects are great. But it is remove the engine is different little within the last couple of years and doesnt manage graphically for the higher end PC games. The plus side can it be runs on the consistant frame rate that COD is recognized for and never decelerates no matter whats on-screen your millage can vary depending on PC. GRAPHICS RATING 8/10
Sound: The audio in COD games continues to be a mixed bag to me since the WWII times this series ended. I was very impressed together with the voice acting inside campaign up to now, the dialogue can be another story. My biggest gripe remains, and that's that the weapons just sound type of soft when fired, like they lack any real punch compared on the rest with the fighting from the background.
