If its simply for simple animation, video tutorial or presentation with add-on quiz capability, utilize it.
Otherwise theres plenty better other tools available.
The funds are just not worth if you can put up with simple PowerPoint presentation.

This isn't an accurate review. Captivate 7 has nearly all with the features available that had been listed in the cons. This user either doesn't have the full version installed or possibly is limited on their own knowledge of what the program can do. I have been using Captivate for many years, possesses improved with time. The functionality is way superior to PowerPoint.

Are you praoclaiming that functionality which you list under cons is removed from 7 are capable of doing all that in 6 or possibly is it that you simply didnt know the best way to do them? Captivate is miles and miles beyond PowerPoint and more robust than every other tool of that type. Not to mention that PowerPoint isn't SCORM compliant and doesnt publish HTML5. I have used Captivate professionally since Captivate 3 plus your review will not be helpful from the least. Please try to keep from making observations with regards to a software program you clearly don't understand. Thanks.
NO programming, extremely effective yet intuitive
There are some small things I would like to find out the user the ability to customize, but on the whole great!
This software was very easy to utilize and intuitive. Id never had any training on the best way to use it and I could open it up and earn a training video. It was very self explanatory.

Right-click interactions impossible for system simulations. Some text entry limitations cannot use Tab, cannot use character limit trigger to absolve text entry.
