I hold the same problem - Brand new Sony Vaio with i3 Intel, Win 7 Professional. Loaded my original 1.5, wouldnt permit me to extract CD audio. I downloaded the free trial version version of CS5.5, same issue. When I seek to extract, the full screen ghosts-out, along with the error message program has eliminate or somesuch. It acts as if it doesnt view the CD drive, even so the drive functions to programs. I continue to have a desktop with XP, thank goodness, however it sucks containing over-thought Win 7, fixed stuff that werent broken, and added sillly clutter like libraries.

Until recently Pro Tools, SADiE, and Nuendo seemed always to contain the edge over Audition but Since Audtion 3 the matter has changed dramatically. Audition 2 was an excellent challenge for the competition also I would recommend all those who have tried older versions of Audition or Cool Edit to test V3. I dont think you can obtain better value for cash. give you a range of free additional filters.
