Well, I purchased LR 4 and was impressed with each of the features it offers. But wait a moment, why Spot Removal so painfully slow? I have a reasonably good mobile workstation 8-core CPU, 16GB RAM, dedicated nVidia video card, etc., however the performance of Spot Removal and several other Develop module features is simply terribly slow. This is reported widely on Adobe Community. Before Adobe addresses this problem, I only provide 2 stars.
Update on 11/7/2012: after upgraded to version 4.2, I feel it really is much better. Although the performance of Develop module remains not with the level that I would want it to be, I am all satisfied with it. So 4 stars now.
