Slowed down the pc so much that I though I would ought to buy more RAM memory, then would secure and sieze to crash, Final straw was when my computer started acting like I was on slow dial up connection, was taking 15 minute to load the email program, another 10-15 to open a contact, Donlt even try and have a couple of application running in the same time since the majority often it only brings about lights out,
All those problems disappeared when bit defender was uninstalled. I went back to AVAST.
Do you self the following favor dont sign up for that utter frustration of handling this program. Skip Bit defender althogether, It is greatly overrated.

1. Free is undoubtedly an overstatement? It costs nothing. Go figure.
2. The testamonials are true. It works, protects against your PC well
3. Why does one sign up on your free in the flesh tutorial? It will not be that hard to make use of.

And bitdefender isn't going to slow down your pc. It is actually pretty light

I have this Antivirus running on my own family laptops, and still have not noticed any slow downs of systems! Its feather light!. I am start to think all of this to bring down a Good Free Antivirus and keep another antivirus in the top!!
There isn't any evidence who's actually blocked or found any virus. It did find stuff that were already quarantined by AdwCleaner, but thats concerning this.
Downloaded Zemanas Key Logger Simulation Test file, which Zemana says any antivirus program should block. BitDefender give it time to on through, and yes this software was running within the background because I verified. I uninstalled BD, and installed Avast. Again, I experimented with download the Key Logger Simulator, and Avast stopped it cold. I am not sure how BitDefender is now such high marks, but I wont utilize it again.

Bitdefender free isn't great at blocking adware, yet is very useful for more serious malware/viruses.
Sucks lifespan outta your personal machine!
It updates and scans at any time it wants and definately will make your personal computer virtually useless for 10 to thirty minutes. There is no approach to schedule the updates and scans for any more convenient time therefore it you are focusing on something which starts go and take action else although it hijacks your is no method to stop it either, in the event you reboot is merely starts support.
I tried this to check to Norton and Kaspersky and if it is ANYTHING much like the paid version I will trash it.

It won't slow me down in any respect and in fact it's caught several virus and bad webpages, so that it does work, that is when you know what your doing, can you? It cost nothing and it works try again

Of each of the problems that Bitdefender free has, system slowdown will not be one of them. Make sure you will not be running many antivirus at a some time and that there are certainly not other security software running, except the firewall plus some light HIPS. There can be a switch to turn of realtime protection. Maybe your pc doesnt satisfy the hardware/software specs of Bitdefender free. I don't realize but system slowdown is basically unheard of unless all these problems are encountered or present.

As I wouldn't even notice any slow downs on my own netbook whilst the auto scans were going. The only time I seen that Bitdefender was scanning is the place where it notified me which it finished a scan.
There is perfectly nothing positive about this device.
I downloaded Bitdefender Antivirus free version almost sixty days ago. Immediately, the antivirus labeled work files and family photos on my own flash drive being a virus, replacing the file extension with GZQUAR. I then went into quarantine to clear out the files however the quarantine button would not work. The following day, I attemptedto contact Bitdefender via chat but it wouldn't work. I then called, explained that this files were quarantined and this the quarantine button failed to work. Technical support said to give them twenty four hours to fix my issue. The following day, I received a contact with a web link to a 3rd party website explaining how to utilize the quarantine button.?
I called Bitdefender again, explained that I knew how to make use of the quarantine button however, it wouldn't work. I was told to rename the files on their original extension. Easier said than done, ever since the GAQUAR replaced the orig. file extension. Fortunately, one particular files were backed up in this little C drive and I knew that were doc.x and which are pdf. I renamed the files and received a notification the files were corrupted andor damaged. I then contacted Bitdefender again, who then said they needed 8 hours to look into my issue. I never heard back at their store. I tried contacting again, and was told they'd need another 4 hours, again, I never heard back from their website. I contacted again, and was told which they did not know the best way to solve my issue understanding that my case was being elevated towards the senior technicians.
