I LOVE this Bible! First, all pages are nice and thick in order that I am able to use my Tim Holtz Distress Markers without the need of bleed I erase A LOT, I use Pilots Frixon Erasable Pens so much to ensure that I am shocked that I havent ripped through the web pages! Second, certainly is all the excess space! I am able to get little illustrations that happen to be so much fun to determine when flipping seeking something.
The something I dont love will be the microscopic point size used with the text! Not for everyday reading, definitely!
I just uploaded a fast video of the I have done within the first week of owning my ESV Journal, give it a look!
Thank you to your feedback.

Ive upload a photo from the bible text using a penny for scale. I hated to return it, but I just couldnt check this out bible due to very very small typeface used.
Im much less old I need a big print editin, but I am pretty sure even people who use reading glasses would've trouble with it.
The cover is a useful one, firm but flexible as well as the paper the optimal thickness that text for the underside wont show though.
It was very Moleskine-esque with all the elastic strap to maintain it closed. If not for that small print, Id be keepin that one!
Thank you on your feedback.

Crossway is one with the best Bible publishers about the market, and, in my opinion, the top when it comes to your versatility and number of their editions. Of the many editions in the ESV available, the Journaling Bible is my all-around favorite, and even though I havent reviewed the first edition with the ESV Journaling Bible, I have given away for free more Journaling Bibles as gifts than every other edition, and I likely have recommended it in excess of any other edition. My only major criticism in the original Journaling Bible was its double column format, and its particular questionable durability. When I saw how the Single Column Journaling Bible had end up, I jumped on the chance to examine it, certain that all my dreams had be realized. This review will focus within the new edition, instead of comparing the 2 as I actually gave all the main editions I had away.
Identical in function, purpose and aesthetic to an original Journaling Bible, the newest Single Column edition features the classic Moleskine appearance, complete having a thick elastic strap, cream colored pages plus a low gloss cover. While the main edition remains 6.25 in x 7.25 in, the Single column edition stretches out at 6.25 in x 8.0 in. This avoids the blocky look on the original and provide it really a recognizable book shape. As usual, I wouldnt mind a thicker spine, however the page count in this particular edition surpasses an original by about 300 pages, in order that it probably is slightly thicker.
The inside could be the main appeal in the Journaling Bible and Crossway succeeds brilliantly at building a spacious, readable layout filled with two inches of ruled margins for the own notes. There remains a great amount of ghosting where the written text from the opposing side on the page presents a ghostly image beneath the written text. Read more

Crossways nice ESV Journaling Bible is actually available in single column format. All the basics are here: sewn binding, paragraph format, single column, ruled lines for notes, cream paper, along with a bold font.
It appears to be durable; this Bible is meant to be taken. It has an elastic strap to help keep the Bible closed.
The binding is sewn, letting it to stay open and lay flat when opened to the page. You wont must hold the Bible available to write in Genesis or Revelation. This is needed for journaling.
The font is small, nevertheless its still super easy to read because its sharp and bold. Ive seen reports close to 7.5 but that could possibly be the leading. I usually desire a larger print font, but I havent had any risk reading this text apart from after a long day of considering a computer screen. If I can make one put it back might be to enhance the font size, but this small text is not going to keep me while using it.
The verse numbers and headings inside the text are even bolder. I like that a lot. Bold verse numbers greatly help while looking for specific verses. The bold headings jump out and help separation the page, creating a better designed look.
The text was in single column, paragraph format. Poetry is determined in verse. Verses which can be Old Testament quotes are centered, driving them to stand out in the rest with the passage. This layout is beautiful. It makes the written text much more readable since it feels natural.
The outside margins are lined for writing. They are 2 " wide and also have a line for every distinctive line of text. The ruled lines are narrow ruled, so youll need to write small.
Thank you for the feedback.

I appreciate everything concerning the ESV Single Column Journaling Bible from Crossway. From the hardcover and elastic strap, for the margin size and readability, it really is by far the most popular Bible. And the price is a useful one, too!

This is often a perfect bible personally!
First, the ESV can be a great version. Almost is evident.
Second, the only column format is fantastic for a journaling bible. I can make notes where I actually desire them to be. Of course, thats the so I suppose thats all I need to say about this. NOTE: I should mention that I write pretty smaller than average very neat. If you have larger handwriting, it's not always so spacious. But I use extra or ultra fine tipped pens to match my small letters. I think you are not small to medium penmanship would find this plenty spactious.
Third, the web pages are substantial yet not too thick. There is SOME bleeding with my highlighters but also in comparison towards the super thin pages of my regular bible, its a large improvement. Ive come to using lighter colors and it works in my opinion. Just my preference. I utilize the Zebra double ended highlighters and calling it bleed can be a kind of strong term but I dont i would love you to think youre getting an opaque page. It does not hinder reading the other side in the page. I also use Sakura Pigma Micron 005 ink pens thats an attractive fine tip however, not the smallest and I can mark up an entirely page without getting inside the way on the flip side. Thats all I ever wanted.
Fourth, the binding. Its classy BUT it was knicked pretty easily, revealing the white insides. Kind of your bummer. But it looks good. The bible is another good size, goes right as well as my Leuchtturm 1917 notebook - - you have access to you a type of by the way
Overall five stars, four plus a half if I could with the cover being less durable than Id like and surely still excellent. Glad I found this bible!
Thank you for the feedback.

Love ESV and also the column about the side to journal. I got this bible to be a gift for my aunt to draw within the sides as she studies.
