The list continues on, but after several skirmishes on varied land, these changes from AOE II frustrate me. The game has become just too simple, too easy. Games that could normally last me a happy 5-6 hours now finish within 2-3. Its watered down, and also if I dont work with using boosts in the home countries, I feel like theres not any point.

I purchased this collection for 7 during amazons Winter holiday sale and and I must say that for that price I paid it really is worth revisiting the AOE franchise. I should say though that I am a lot more than surprised how the price has raised to 40 to the PC download. 40 for the game that may be over a decade old??? I really do not have idea the retailers are usually planning by marking up Age of Empires 3 to this sort of price in spite of the additional DLCs. Als Fan von Age of Empires habe ich lange gez gert, dieses Produkt zu bestellen, da ich mit dem ersten Spiel eigentlich zufrieden war und mich fragte, ob man die Neuerungen in Age of Empires III wirklich braucht. Nachdem ich das Spiel dann gespielt habe, wurde ich fast umgehauen von Grafik, Atmosph re und einem weiterentwickelten Spielprinzip, welches alles in den Schatten stellte, was ich bisher kannte. Und um das schon Mal vorwegzunehmen: Das Spiel ist jeden Cent wert.
Die umwerfenden Neuerungen sind hier zu finden: Die detailtreue und liebevolle Gestaltung der Landschaft und der Objekte ist wirklich ein Fest f r die Augen. Eindrucksvoll sind auch die Wassereffekte, f r die Ensemble Studios sogar extra einen Programmierer abkommandiert hat, um das Erlebnis perfekt zu machen. Sehr gut umgesetzt ist die M glichkeit, in die Spielwelt hineinzuzoomen hnlich wie bei Empire Earth.
In punkto Grafik zeigt AoE3 das, was Empire Earth nie bieten konnte und treibt es sogar noch weiter. Wer fters mit dem Mausrad herumgespielt hat, der wei wovon ich schreibe.
berrascht hat mich am Anfang des Spieles auch die Musik, die anders als bei den vorangegangenen Spielen keine elektronischen Elemente enth lt, sondern ausschlie lich von einem Orchester eingespielt wurde. Hier merkt man deutlich, dass das Spiel reifer geworden ist. Die Atmosp re wird von der wunderbaren Orchestermusik und dem Sound gleicherma en getragen. Eines der Besten Lieder vom Soundtrack ist meiner Meinung nach Happy to You von Kevin McMullan.
Die deutschen Stimmen sind auch sehr passend ausgew hlt und synchronisiert worden und machen Lust noch eine Partie mehr zu spielen. Lesen Sie

Anfangs war ich skeptisch da mir die Demo vor ein paar Jahren nicht zusagte, Heute war es der Preis f r die Complete Collection.
Dennoch habe ich den Kauf letzten Endes nicht bereut.
Ich fing einfach mal mit der Kampagne an und wurde sofort im Bann gerissen von Story die eine Atmosph re bot, wie man sie nur bei einen sch nen Buch normal vorfinden wird.
Andererseits berzeugte mich auch die Grafiken die man anbietet mit FullHD Aufl sung und Kantengl ttung, steht sie heutigen Spielen in nichts wirklich nach.
Mein Fazit: Zugreifen es lohnt sich wirklich noch dieses Spiel.
Hab das Game jetzt seit ca. einer Woche und bin sehr zufrieden.
Wer schon den 2er gespielt hat wird sich wieder sehr schnell in das Spiel einfinden k nnen. Es ist sehr sch n, dass viele Funktionen und Strukturen aus AOE2 bernommen worden sind.
Das spiel bietet mit dem beiden Addons sehr viel Spa f r viele Stunden.
Und im Set f r diesen Preis auch ok.
Wer AoE 2 kennt, bekommt bei AoE 3 das gleiche mit besserer Grafik und einem Heimathafen, aus dem man Schiffsladungen erhalten und so schneller an Rohstoffe oder Milit r kommt. Im Grunde gibt es aber nicht wirklich erw hnenswerte Neuerungen. Mir pers nliche gef llt AoE 3 trotzdem besser, weil man mehr V lker zur Auswahl hat und die Neuerung mit dem Heimathafen find ich auch sehr gut. Man kommt einfacher ins Spiel rein selbst wenn man noch kein AoE kennt.
Als dieser Klassiker der auch fr her schon vor allem im Multiplayer daheim war endlich in einer aufgearbeiteten Complete-Collection inklusive aller Erweiterungen, die ich fr her ja alle schon gekauft und gespielt hatte, bei Steam auftauchte, habe ich nicht lange gez gert und f r ungef hr 20 Euro zugeschlagen. Es ist allerdings so, dass die Preise aktuell auch gerne mal die 10 Euro nach unten durchbrechen, wenn man bereit ist, entsprechend zu warten. Von daher: Preisvergleich lohnt sich.
AoE3 spielt sich noch exakt wie allerdings auch mit exakt den gleichen Leuten wie fr her manch einer hat wohl nie aufgeh rt. Dadurch gibt es in der Community ein starkes Gef lle zwischen sehr gut spielerisch und ausr stungstechnisch und sehr schlecht bzw. Newbies. Das kann zu sehr frustrierenden Erfahrungen f hren.
Am Spielprinzip und den Kampagnen hat sich wiederum nichts ge ndert, so dass sich Fans sofort wieder zuhause f hlen werden.
Im Fazit sicherlich ein 5-Sterne-Spiel, hier aber zu einem 4-Sterne-Preis.
Dieses Spiel spiele ich seit einem Jahr und es macht immer noch Spa.
Das Spiel hat eine gute Grafik und berzeugt durch sehr langen Spielspa. Die 3 Kampagnen sind abwechslungsreich und berzeugen auch da durch langen Spielspa. Wer AOE 1 und 2 mag, wird dieses Spiel mehr als nur lieben. Vor dem Kauf waren meine Erwartungen hoch, aber das Spiel hat sie deutlich bertroffen. Man muss au erdem seine Hauptstadt verwalten und man kann auch Einheiten aus der Hauptstadt bestellen. Dies geht aber nur in begrenzten Ma en. Seine Hauptstadt kann man auch nach seinen W nschen umgestalten. Man kann sich vor dem Spielstart aussuchen mit welchen technologischen und milit rischen Fortschritt starten m chte. Im Spiel muss man dann eine kleine Stadt aufbauen und Milit r ausbilden um die Gegner zu besiegen.

Die deutschen Stimmen sind auch sehr passend ausgew hlt und synchronisiert worden und machen Lust noch eine Partie mehr zu spielen.
Eine anfangs ungew hnliche Neuerung bietet das Konzept der Heimatstadt: Als neu gegr ndete Kolonie kann man immer wieder mal Einheiten, K mpfer oder andere Dinge aus der Heimat anfordern, wenn man gerade Unterst tzung ben tigt. Dieses Konzept ergibt bei n herer Betrachtung durchaus Sinn und tr gt sehr zum Spielfluss bei.
Eine weitere Neuerung macht sich beim Ressourcensammeln bemerkbar: Siedler brauchen kein Lager oder Dorfzentrum mehr, um Ressourcen zu lagern. Diese werden einfach dem Spieler gutgeschrieben, was erheblich den Spielfluss beschleunigt und den Blick auf andere Dinge, wie Weiterentwicklung oder Ausbildung einer Armee lenkt.
Die Streitkr fte sind nun unterteilt in Kavallerie zu Pferd k mpfende, mit Blank- und Handfeuerwaffen k mpfende Waffengattung der Landstreitkr fte, Infanterie zu Fu k mpfende, mit Handwaffen ausger stete Soldaten der Bodenstreitkr fte und Artillerie gro kalibrige Gesch tze und Gesch tztypen, was einem am Anfang verwirren kann und man gerade wegen der Begriffe durcheinander kommen kann. Durch Ausprobieren und K mpfen erkennt man jedoch schnell die Vorteile und Schw chen der Streitkrafttypen.
Einen Kopierschutzmechanismus au er CD-Verf gbarkeit konnte ich nicht bemerken. Dies hat bei mir einen sehr positiven Eindruck hinterlassen, da man ja in der heutigen Zeit alles M gliche erwarten muss, wie beispielsweise bei SimCity 2013, wo zum Sielen permanent eine Internetverbindung ben tigt wird, und anderer Geschichten um EAs Origin oder dem Ubi-Launcher.
Durch eine gro e Kampagne und 2 Erweiterungen erh lt man eigentlich nicht nur ein Spiel, sondern schier unendlichen Spielspa und eine Simulation, deren Landschaften und Detailreichtum man gerne mal genie en kann, auch ohne wirklich zu spielen. Nur der Szenario-Editor ist recht kompliziert geraten. Mit Tutorials aus dem Internet und einer etwas l ngeren Einarbeitungszeit ist aber auch das kein Problem mehr.

Prinzipiell will ich Hier nicht das Spiel bewerten, sondern die Collection. Jedoch m chte ich vorerst ein paar Worte zu dem Spiel verlieren. Ich war ein gro er Fan der bisherigen Teile, war dann von Vorberichten - Videos und Artikeln zum Spiel sehr entt uscht. Da das Spiel mittlerweile recht g nstig geworden ist, habe ich es mir mal geholt und muss sagen, dass ich doch positiv berrascht bin. Es macht wirklich Spa und erinnert sehr an Age of Mythology mit ein paar Innovationen und ein paar klassischen Elementen aus Age of Empires 2.
Zu der Complete Collection: Die Collection wird in einer dicken H lle geliefert - kein Schuber oder hnliches, macht aber schon ein wenig etwas her. Das Cover ist nett gestaltet. So viel zu dem
Ansonsten kann man eine Sammlung einfach nicht schlechter machen! Die DVDs sind im Case bereinander gestapelt und haben alle den Originalaufdruck der einzelnen Spiele. Ebenso die Handb cher der einzelnen Spiele liegen in dem Case dabei, zus tzlich einem d nnen Flyer zur Complete Collection mit einer Installationsanleitung und vermutlich von einem Praktikanten draufgeklebten Produktschl sseln zu den einzelnen Spielen. Liebloser kann man sowas wirklich nicht machen, als sich den Originaltitel und die 2 Addons zu nehmen - die DVDs und die Handb cher rauszunehmen und in ne neue H lle zu legen. Da wird man von anderen Spielen g nzlich verw hnt, die die DVDs neu bedrucken oder ein neues Handbuch dazu machen.
So geht es dann auch bei der Installation los. Man installiert das Originalspiel, danach das erste Addon, danach das zweite Addon. Und zum Starten jedes der 3 getrennt von einander laufenden Spiele, muss man auch immer die jeweilige DVD einlegen.
Mein Fazit: Spiel Top, Collection Flop.

Als Fan von Age of Empires durfte mir nat rlich auch der dritte Teil samt den Erweiterungen War Chiefs und Asian Dynasties nicht bewegt sich der Zeitraum des Spiels nach Columbus Entdeckung der Neuen Welt sowie deren Besiedlung durch die Kolonialm chte bis zu den Anf ngen der Industriellen spielt insgesamt 14 Nationen/V lkerOriginalspiel plus beide Erweiterungen, welche es gilt, ihren Platz in der Weltgeschichte zu ob Sie die Briten zu ihrem Kolonialreich f hren, die USA in ihrem Unabh ngigkeitskrieg unterst tzen, die Macht ber den europ ischen Kontinent bernehmen oder sich zu einer Hegemonialmacht in Asien aufschwingen-die Wahl bleibt Ihnen berlassen.
Vieles wurde gegen ber den Vorg ngern ver ndert, manches zu Gunsten oder Ungunsten des Grafik ist aber auf jeden Fall hervorragend, keine Frage. Das Highlight an Neuerungen beginnt mit der Heimatstadt, welche man besuchen kann, um dort Schiffsladungen in die Kolonie zu verfrachten, vor allem zu Beginn des Ausbaus sehr wichtig, da unbegrenzt Rohstoffe geliefert werden k nnen, wenn man auch gen gend Verteilungspunkte den Rohstoffen gibt es statt vier jetzt drei Komponenten Nahrung, Holz und M nzen, um die Ausbeutung zu man ins n chste Zeitalter voranschreiten, kann man zwischen zwei Personen ausw hlen, die dem Spieler entweder mit wirtschaftlichen, milit rischen oder wissenschaftlichen Neuerungen erdem ist es sp testens nach dem m glich, Rohstoffquellen unbegrenzt zu nutzen und ab dem kann man weitere wirtschaftliche Geb ude wie Fabriken errichten, die sich sogar auf Rohstoffproduktion spezialisieren, welche nat rlich auch unbegrenzt jeden Fall f r Spieler, die eher auf Wirtschaft statt
Kommen wir jetzt zum einzigen Tiefpunkt dieses ansonsten sehr guten Spiels: Der Szenario-Editor. Im Gegensatz zu den Vorg ngern, wo man eine quadratische Karte mit vielen Optionen und Entscheidungsm glichkeiten hatte, so wurde im dritten Teil die Karte als Kreis gestaltet und zuviel von Cossacks abgekupfert, was die Gestaltung hrung erdem, so scheint es mir, bewegt sich der Gegner nicht, wenn man das Szenario testen will-gro es Manko vor allem bei Schlachtszenarien.H tte man wie bei den Vorg ngern belassen sollen, da helfen auch die Tutorien habe schon bessere Editoren gesehen!
Nichts desto Trotz hoffe ich doch stark, dass Microsoft bald einen machen wird, der in das Zeitalter der beiden Weltkriege bis zur bipolaren Weltteilung gehen wird.W re auf jeden Fall spannend!Aber bitte mit dem Editor aus den Vorg ngern und einer unbegrenzten Bev lkerungszahl, mit dem Maximum von 200 Personen macht dass echt keinen Spa.
PS: Das Spiel l uft auf Win 8 wie in einem Guss und die Grafik darauf ist atemberaubend, wenn man alles hochgeschraubt hat.

Man sammelt diese durch jegliche Aktionen im Spiel, durch das Bauen und Ausbilden, zerst rte Einheiten oder Eroberung von Kisten auf der Karte. Die Erfahrung kann dann in der Hauptstadt investiert werden und sich mit Bonuskarten zu st rken. Dieser Bestandteil macht echt Spa. Man kann mit steigender Stufe weitere Karten freischalten und diese einem Deck f r jeden Spielstil zuordnen. Das ganze reicht von der Lieferung von Rohstoffen bis hin zu Einheiten und allgemeinen Upgrades f r Wirtschaft und Milit reinheiten f r sein Volk oder das Team im Multiplayer. Letztere machen durch dieses Tiefe sehr viel Spa, da man sich abstimmen und auf eine Rolle konzentrieren k
berm chtig ist dabei keine Einheit. Man hat f r jede einen Counterpart. Will jemand rein mit Infantrie angreifen, wird dieser durch gen gend Artillerie schnell umgehauen. Die wiederum ist empfindlich gegen bestimmte Kavalerie, weswegen Pikeniere oder sonstige Anti-Tierchen-Einheiten gebraucht usw.
Auch Seeschlachten sind dabei und machen Spa - auch dem Augen durch nette Spiegelungen und Wassereffekte.
Alles in allem ein super Multiplayer Titel, der lange fesselt. Die vielen V lker- und Kartenkombinationen reizen einen zum Neuanfang mit seiner Hauptstadt.
AOE3 bietet im Vergleich zum Vorg nger neben besserer Grafik einen guten Ton und eine Kampagne, die sich bis auf die letzte Erweiterung mit der fiktiven Handlung der Familie Black befasst und ber Zeitepochen ihre Geschichte verfolgt.
In der Asien-Erweiterung spielt man dagegen mit Japan, China oder Indien.
AOE3 bietet wie der Vorg nger schon viele verschiedene V lker mit ihren eigenen Aussehen und Technologien, auch mit Spezialeinheiten.
Im Gegensatz zu AOE2 kann man hier neben der M hle, welche unbergrenzt Nahrung liefert, auch Plantagen errichten, die wiederrum Gold erzeugen und eine Fabrik errichten um seine Holzversorgung unbegrenzt sicher zu stellen. Das kann man als Vorteil sehen, aber im freien Spiel auch als Nachteil, da man so keinen wirklichen Nutzen hat von Anfang an wichtige Rohstoffquellen zu besetzen und dem Feind vor zu enthalten.
Dies schm lert in jenem Punkt die Taktik, dazu kommt leider das man hier nur eine begrenzte Anzahl an T rmen und Forts errichten kann, was mich schon gest rt hat.
Spa macht mir das Spiel aber trotzdem auch wenn AOE2 und AOE3 beide ihre Vor- und Nachteile besitzen.
