Photoshop Elements 8, 9 and 10 all suffer from your same major flaw. You can barely read the small fonts to see the printing and icons up against the black on grey background. That was what I thought, used the trail version. I liked 9, community . did not try everything well and was not in any way easy to understand some instructions a great deal of internet looking for better tutorials. Im not a professional, dont cause me to work so hard to find out it, right? The features I used, simple cropping, adding text and many corrections used clone a whole lot, 9 was less difficult and easier to determine the tools! For the price, Ill wait to see if the next improved version can be an improvement.

Every year they cook a few minor changes and I find yourself upgrading and I do not know why. I really disliked Elements 12, so since that time things have been a marked improvement, but when you have 13, it is likely you dont need this. Unlike some reviewers, I didnt have much difficulty loading both Elements and Premiere. I have had Adobe products that long, it quickly raised my email address contact information, I guess from scanning my computer for past installations of Adobe products. I have never used Premiere, so I cant say anything this yet, but I like to utilize the Content Aware component of Elements - - which iPhoto does not have, and thats where I do the bulk of my hard core fast editing, crop, lighten, crop, lighten. Content Aware may take a bird out with the sky, or possibly a telephone pole out in the back of your photo. I even been there remove me completely from browsing front of an statue, within a click also it just fills inside blank while using colors that had been around me, so that it looks like nothing was ever there. But I really recommend finding a Peachpit or Dummies guide. Photoshop may be very frustrating on occasion - - the Guided Menu was no help in any way - - and I find yourself having to watch tutorial videos or possess a book on my small lap to make it do what I want it to perform. And in the event you dont do fancy things, you will find free programs like Gimp or Acorn, that the basics. Full Photoshop you cant even buy anymore. This program has got the options inside I had become accustomed to while using full Photoshop software. Certainly, I expect it can't do all of that a full version of Photoshop can, but Elements has all of the options I need and require for editing photos for my small enterprise. I was most serious about being competent to crop, rotate, change light and contrast, etc, make images larger or smaller, and that i can with the offer. The options are set up so closely on the full version of Photoshop, that there has become no learning curve relating to the two versions from the program in my opinion, so easy to make use of.
