I hold the same problem - Brand new Sony Vaio with i3 Intel, Win 7 Professional. Loaded my original 1.5, wouldnt ok, i'll extract CD audio. I downloaded the free trial offer version of CS5.5, common problem. When I attempt to extract, the complete screen ghosts-out, plus the error message program has eradicated or somesuch. It acts as it doesnt begin to see the CD drive, even so the drive functions with programs. I still a desktop with XP, thank goodness, but it really sucks which has over-thought Win 7, fixed items that werent broken, and added sillly clutter like libraries.
