Right lets cut to the issue. Do not use the previous cdrwin 3.8c key CDRwinmaster with the modern cdrwin3.8d. Why you ask, well it installs ok, but when you reboot yer pc, you receive the blue screen of death evertime. I got lucky and were able to load windows, uninstalled the newest version while using bad key, and reinstall with the revolutionary key, wotks great, probs gone away, windows boots now, no blue screen of death.
Umm 2 cds, you cannot know if your serial is great untill you might have rebooted then tried burning, can anybody make sure the serials are perfect???

Let me just point out that I became a registered for a while. Yes, the UI might have been improved, but CDRWin did what it had been designed for and resulted in a very small system footprint. My main CDRWin gripes have an ISO image creation engine which has occasional flaws in the handling of big collections of files and directories and it is lack of recording support for Panasonic/Matsusa DVD Multi LF-D521/SW-95x1/SW-95x2/UJ-81x series drives. This last deficiency really puzzles me, since these drives that may all write to CD-RRW, are actually available for a very extensive period. Not an encouraging sign from CDRWins

I originally used CDRWin last 1998 and. it hasnt changed. At all. As per usual, Goldenhawk provide zero change log whatsoever Id wager that they can only blacklisted yet more serials on this new version. as usual, even their internet site is 100% exactly the same and hasnt changed over 5 years except for that addition on the words Windows 2000 and Windows XP. The files list for creating CDs is bad and just weird - the quantity of times Ive written a CD only to discover that CDRWin has included the complete path inside the directory structure or has splattered the many files in to the root on the CD is AMAZINGLY ANNOYING. I expect updating CDRWins interface to become beyond Arnolds capabilities. In summary: CDRWin employed to be good, now it isnt. Not even close.

Big leader for those who know nothing on computers and a smaller utility drives them for the edges of these poor brains.
I don't have any objection that Nero is really a nice prog, regardless the nationality of their authors. But it is just not a utility program like CdrWin. Nero is often a full application but at twenty MB installed does the identical as CdrWin 1MB. Nero uses over than thirty 30 dll, exe, ocx files while CdrWin is single exe.
And with the way we've nothing against Germans it they DONT stole names, trademarks and programs.

I come with an external USB 1 driver, which seems for being generally unsupported through the big cdwriting apps like nero and roxio. Tried this and also to my suprise it found my cdrw drive, unfortunately there the happiness ended as that it was so flaky, would obtain a little way thru burning anything then ignore the drive, Id must restart the app to have it believe it is again.
Wasted litereally lots of cdrs before I gave it the boot.
now use stomp record now max, which although isnt as well as nero/roxio, no less than works every time
First off 4.0 would have been a BETA version only and not became anything aside from that It was designed for SCSI drive just use. GoldenHawk Pulled the four.0 beta and set the multirecorder support from 4.0 in versions starting at 3.9a.
This software may be nothing but stable for me personally and has always done a fantastic job. SHAM NOT!!!!!!!!!

I obtained a key over 12 months ago and it also still blends with any version released within that timeframe.
For obvious reasons it doesn't work with versions released after my key exipred.

This company and software is often a sham. You get to rent the program for 39.00 for starters year. After that, your key quits using the services of both new and old versions with the software. If you want to utilize any version after that it's going to cost you 19.00 a year for just a new key. You should skip this junk and choose Nero.

To start Im reviewing CDRWin5 5.02.000Beta?, yes it dose exist it s just unusual to find.
A large amount of work has been invest to CDRWin 5, having a brand new interface, DVD support but I haven t had the capacity to test this as I don t own a DVD writer, virtual CD/DVD support, SVCD support, Nice little Label editor, online/local cddb support, burnproof and alike support. The big dissatisfied is which the image format is different s s, and since of yet I haven't been able to get away to force cdrwin5 to produce images in the existing format

very powerful program, nevertheless the interface is brutal
Is it me or can it get annoying with apps similar to this come out yet few things are really mentioned of what updates are actually made and 4.0a has become out for just a long time. From the interface we could all tell its never been upgraded. I do much like the ease of operation, its great at making images and it is failure rate on burning images is actually good. When it all depends upon it nero does everything this thing is ever going to do and much more, until cdrwin adds more well, Im personally in love with nero burning rom.

incompatible with my nec 8x4x32 cd-rw drive, nevertheless its definately usefull for rolling your personal ISO images. I put on the extender to produce a bootable sp2 integrated version of my retail win2k cd so I wouldnt need to keep installing SP2 everytime I reloaded my machine.
unless Im lucky enough for getting a free full copy of win2k professional sp3 integrated following win2k sp3 beta Ill more than likely being setting up a new sp3 integrated version for my very own personal use and destroying my SP2 integrated copy.

It often causes cdrwin to lose incorrectly.
Ive seen the effects of some burnings with this symptom, audio-cd with one track, no valid filesystem and many others.
besides that CDRWin is THE best program for :s!
You must believe me on this time, sice ive tried a great deal of programs, including Nero, Discjuggler and blindwrite. Some iso:s only dealt with CDRwin.
The latest version of fireburner remains untested however.

If you've got Nero, copy the file out of your Nero folder to WinNT/System32 and yes it will work fine. If you dont have Nero, hunt around for AspiMe and install that. You will be needing to roll back your date to sometime in 98 for that to setup.
A WORD OF WARNING. For some reason ASPIMe makes same within your programs think youre running Windows NT and may even cause some problems.
Anyone know where to obtain the aspi drivers for Windows XP Pro RC1 or what can I need to do for getting that driver install on XP RC1 so I can run CDRWIN 4.0 beta or 3.8 upon it?
Any help could be appresicated. Thanks

CDRWIN 3.8a-e beta may be out for upwards of a month, I do not know why so many people are shooting down. I have a Plextor 16X burner with burn proof tech plus it rules with CDRWIN. Not one coaster
I think its excellent. My wife and I use ErieX for that Internet access and being able to check our ErieX mail from this can be a great feature.
Good proggy, gets hotter works. It had its hay-day. Problem is, it normally won't support what they have to sell. If you cant find your problem within their FAQ within the site, surrender. I made the error of buying it. I wont upgrade when my year expires.

Umm. yea. Back inside day, CDRWIn may are actually all that. Unfortunately Goldenhawk and even more specifically Jeff Arnold does not cherish their customers. Hey Jeff, where will be the cue sheet editor promised in version 2??!! Were still waiting. I paid high dolar due to this program and continued to spend outrageous upgrade prices waiting for brand spanking new features that never came. That all ended a while back. I got fed up of recieving 0 tech support team for my money and basically no new originiality being introduced into the program. Same drab interface this program continues to be wearing since day 1 almost. Do your favor and acquire Fireburner instead. Hey Jeff, you suck.

First, in case your CDRW is Atapi/ide drive, you have to download
forceaspi17. or perhaps you must do FTP search because of this.

As for programs, when your main purpose is burning CD with bin/cue from Newsgroups, this is this system you need.
Fireburner frequently dies under Windows 2000. I don't realize why. It was my choice under NT4.
WinonCD or Nero. NTI CD Maker additional hand, doesn't work well. 3 not find supported CDRWs,

ok program. it often stops burning, nodody knows why, but thats the sole problem i stumbled upon.
Concerning ASPI drivers in W2K, the things i did is ugly but works; I copied the which can be in Nero installation dir to winntsystem32 dir, and it also works fine.

If you may need Win2k support for ASPI, look to get a program called
It is designed for NT, but is highly on win2k. This file is manufactured by adaptec, go search their website for ASPI32 NT 4 therefore you should be able to believe it is.

An excellent program. Small user friendly although the GUI is coasters at8x in my opinion anyhow.
yaaaaaayyyyyy! ATI is finally puting out drivers for 2000. But I cant complain, other programs wont or can take forever just for this to happen. Im glad to view ATI isnt lagging cant hold back until the multimedia center finally gets I really cant will go into windows 98 SE with the multimedia stuff.

Burner software should not often make coasters - if this does, then somethings fcked on your own system.
Nero CDRWin, or CloneCD are really the only burner progs you should copy anything.
Not Fireburner, cos theres things it cant copy that this others can.

CDRWin properly registered makes coasters at 8x, whereas fireburner new edition 1.05 offering at burns BIN files PERFECTLY at 8x I just burned eco-friendly has to become dropped to 6x so as to not generate a coaster. Poor coding, crappy beta.

CDRWin can be a lean, mean burning m a registered user. I registered and before he dropped the purchase price I felt it turned out worth every penny. Contrast by investing in Fireburner which wigged out over a BIN file of any near-80 minute up CDRWin and yes it made short work of this image: a great CD.
CDRWin never burns coasters for me personally. and with the ignorant that have no idea better, in the event you enter a blacklisted unlock key, youll STILL register, but it'll coaster just about every CD you will be making. perhaps thats why people dislike it?: If youre gonna pirate CDRWin it requires some brains ;p
Quit it together with the fireburner commercials here. CDRWIN is often a very competent software program. It didnt provide me a single coaster till this present day. It has a weird interface, but things are all in place. Havent seen a much better application for working together with ISO files. Its fast, small does the project the way it should, no fuzz, no buls.

I utilized to love CDRWIN, until I tried Fireburner. I purchased Fireburner with my completely new HP 9100 8x burner for nearly 1 month now, and I have NOT produced coaster of just one cd. NOT ONE SCREW UP. Its amazing, and itll burn BIN/CUE and ISO format. Kudos to this method, check it at /
CDRWIN will release the support for Plextor 8432 at early Feb and hopefully they wont delay the progress.
Does anyone know yet this CDRWIN supports Plextor 8432A8x Write, 4x Re-write, 32x read? If not, when cdrwin gonna release this supported device?
Who buys MITSUMI Drivers? Yamaha or Plextor are the only real real CD/CD-Rs for the market.

I manipulate cdrwin for merely 1 year, I found betas of 3.8 for being very nice until the last 3 builds which for whatever reason wont help my Panasonic 7502. Before this problem it was the most popular burning software. The strange thing is the documentation still says it supports my burner??
I can dispute just what the above person said. While it's just not freeware 20 Shareware, online registration is obtainable. Apparently this previous reviewer didnt do his homework.

CDRWIN IS A GREAT LITTLE PROGRAM, BUT I PREFER ADAPTEC EASY CD CREATOR 4.0 WHEN I WRITE AUDIO CDS BECAUSE IT ALLOWS YOU TO BURN AUDIO RIGHT FROM MP3.
Works fine personally Win 98se. It has more stations that Microsoft I think. Dont complain a whole lot that it happens errors and stuff. Thats what we get if you run beta software!

It does exact CD copying very nicely, however, it doesnt burn audio CDs from MP3. Use NERO, an improved program just for this. Also bought at betanews.
I gave this method 3 stars however it showed up as 1. I also supposed to mention if can be nice in the event the program updated the computer time clock at user selected time intervals and when the time, and possibly date, may very well be displayed iin a new formats.

Although not free like FireBurner, this is really a case where you receive what you buy. The depth of features goes far beyond simply burning images or copying a preexisting CD. The program is not hard enough for average users but has the extras hard-core techie-types really like to determine. It will be the extra features that sets CDRWIN apart through the others.

I like CDRWin, consider I tried Fireburner through the creator of Binchunker,
I changed my mine it costs you half on the price and you have a BIN burner plus the Binchunker in bonus! Thats why I give CDRwin a 2!:
I likewise use Easy CD Creator for many things, but CDR-Win cant be beat for perfect DAO backupsespecially in reverse your Playstation games.
Its a good program, but it's NOT freeware as it says up above, you will need to purchse a license code to make use of it an some other speed besides 1x. I perfer Easy CD Creator to the eye candy and mp3 tech.

A superb wee program. Not as intuitive as similar to Easy CD Creator, nonetheless it has the power to try and do everything you may need as long as youre prepared to dig slightly!
Would be nicer having a graphics update but nonetheless fun, it can be about time someone counters all of the Windows bashers that this Mac Platform has.
