Renamed from Greenshot. I installed the offer then look at this reviewers comments Howardferns and attemptedto install Greenshot and Greenshot stated it was already running. I shut the offer down and just then did Greenshot install. Greenshot has more options in putting together the capture keys.
No pros found - it didnt install after six tries with Firefox browser and McAfee protection, although I accept the download.
Gave up after six attempts. First, it installed adware called Outbrowse.a without permission, then offered me current debts install six other software downloads I didnt want, and then it itself wouldnt install given it was blocked by McAfee.
Dont waste your time using this download.
Free Screen Capture usually install and uninstall clean. Bitdefender detected no malware following installation, despite having thrown up a Malware detected! alert for the install window, and Revo Uninstaller detected no leftovers following native uninstall process.

Have been using FastStone Capture for 5 years and yes it never failed to cause me to feel happy. I use FireFox default browser 90%, IE 5% and Chrome5%. Its scrolling feature allows me to capture stuff that fall outside the screen rare but needed feature with this type of program. It has a free-form capture ability that saves me a good deal of editing time, it functions VERY well, its intuitive, and I just cant say enough positive things about it. I rarely rate software and I love getting free software but miracle traffic bot is only free to use and costs 20 - so take into account that. Its the most beneficial screenshot program around in my book and Im an exceptionally heavy user. If you need nice but only OK software, try Greenshot - that's free - and FAR much better than using the Windows PrtScr screen shot feature.

The program is extremely ideal for capturing and displaying videos. Im running it over a Windows 8 machine through an i5 processor and 8 GB ram, storing while on an 2 Tb harddrive. I use this program to prepare presentations which contain clips of videos Ive collected in this little trips. It does seem to become rather finicky tho, that's why I only gave it a 3 rating. For short under sixty minutes clips it can do very well. When I assemble a good piece then try to capture the whole video end to absolve, this software sometimes hangs up for pointless at in regards to the 45 minute mark. At other times, it freezes with the 1 hour 10 minute mark. Theres no apparent reason, along with a repeat recording usually have the whole thing. I am using local storage, so it is just not trying to grab something across a network connection that goes south. Pros: Excellent features. Does everything I want it to complete for screen capture. Easy to make use of. UI is quite intuitive. Can start and quit with F10 key. Can quickly select each monitor on the dual screen setup. Can select speaker only or mic only or both. Saves and exports to several file formats.
Cons: It took me awhile to find this out, but to start with I was having troubles recording. The app would crash randomly about 4 mins into recording. I disabled the Intel hardware acceleration also it seems to possess fixed the situation. I found a work around, however it is worth knocking a star off since it is really a feature that seems for being a bit buggy.
