All I wanted was screen capture software. I have Pinnacle Studio 12 for video editing. I found CamStudio about the Internet for screen capture. This is free software however you get everything you pay for. I was spending lots of time tidying up after CamStudio so I stopped working and bought Camtasia Studio 8.
The ideal thing I can say regarding the screen capture on Camtasia Studio is which it just works, brilliantly. The images are sharp as well as the sound is synchronized a couple of things the free things wouldnt do.

Weve been using miracle traffic bot over the last months in the office and I have to claim that making a screencast with Camtasia is very much easier and faster now. The previous version would have been a great concept, but had a lot of limitations that sometimes wed use need to use full pro AV editing software to edit the footage quickly and use Camtasia to easily add effects and spit out.

All I wanted was screen capture software. I have Pinnacle Studio 12 for video editing. I found CamStudio for the Internet for screen capture. This is free software however, you get whatever you pay for. I was spending lots of time clearing up after CamStudio so I stopped working and bought Camtasia Studio 8.
The neatest thing I can say around the screen capture on Camtasia Studio is who's just works, brilliantly. The images are sharp and also the sound is synchronized certain things the freebies wouldnt do.
Camtasia does much more than just screen capture. There are a large amount of features and I have tried a couple of. There are video tutorials for their web site that quickly demonstrate how to try everything. When you select help within Camtasia it takes one to those videos.
Right now Camtasia Studio 8 doesn't have support for green screen so I still need to use Pinnacle. For this reason I have not explored fully a variety of features of Camtasia. TechSmith is working with a green screen upgrade to 8 so if you desire green screen you can examine to see when it has emerge yet.
The features that I manipulate are excellent, are easy to understand, and produce the end result very professional looking. If I lost the screen capture I would still want Camtasia for that extra features that they have that Pinnacle will not have.

The feature is termed remove a color also it works a lot better than the green screen feature in Pinnacle Studio 12 so I now do all of my green screen stuff using Camtasia.
