Durch Zufall stieР“en wir dann vor drei Tagen auf ein neues Forum der BFV Mod und stellten entsetzt fest, dass das Tiberian Aftermath Team klamm und heimlich am 26. MР“rz 2006 ihre Modifikation verР“ffentlicht hatte. Diese schaunen wir uns nun etwas genauer an.

Kontinuierlich wird dem Spieler, beim durchqueren des Feldes, Lebensernergie abgezogen. Wer sich schon einmal einen Vorgeschmack auf die kommenden Battlefield 2142 Mechs holen mР“chte, kann auf Seiten der GDI gleich zwei verschiedene dieser StahlungetР“me steuern. Die Bewegungsanimation der Mechs war leider nicht besser machbar als es jetzt ist. Wer die dР“steren KlР“nge aus den AnfР“ngen der Command Conquer Serie noch kennt und gemocht hat, fР“r den ist die Musik beim Laden einer Map oder im MenР“ ein echter HР“rgenuss. Skins und Modelle passen sich stimmig in die Command Conquer AtmosphР“re ein.
Die aktuelle Modversion kР“nnte man noch als interne Beta bezeichnen. Hier hatte man nach zweijР“hriger Entwicklungsarbeit entschieden alles zu einer BFV Mod zusammen zu schustern. Alles was bisher gemodellt, geskinnt oder schlichtweg auf der Festplatte der Entwickler schlummerte, wurde eingebaut. Ein geringer Teil von ca. 10% bis 15% der Fahrzeuge, Waffen und GebР“ude weisen keinen Skin auf. Das mag zwar in den teils dunkel gestalteten Maps kaum auffallen, dennoch ist es nicht immer schР“n anzusehen. Alle Maps sind noch in einem gewissen WIP Stadium und sind vom Inhalt her wild zusammenwР“rfelt. Auf mindestens einer der TA Maps gibt es auch aus diesem Grund einen Mix aus Standard BFV Material und Command Conquer zu vermelden. Eigene Sounds und Klangeffekte sind eher Mangelware. Zum Beispiel hР“rt sich das Fortbewegen des GDI Mechs eher nach einem LKW Diesel an als das es nach einem mechanischen Stampfen klingen kР“nnte. Was leider auch fehlt ist die Serverversion der Mod. Somit kР“nnen wir euch keinen Server zum Test zur VerfР“gung stellen. Schade. Ob es eventuell noch die Serverversion oder gar einen Patch zum ausmerzen der Bugs geben wird wagen wir zu bezweifeln.
Zu aktiven Battlefield Vietnam Zeiten hР“tte Tiberian Aftermath, neben Point of Existence und Operation Peacekeeper, ein weiterer echter Modkracher werden kР“nnen. Vorallendingen durch den dicken Bonus des Command Conquer Szenarios hР“tte die Mod etliche Fans gefunden. Aber es ist einfach zu spР“t, jetzt eine unfertige Betaversion zu verР“ffentlichen. Es sieht zwar toll aus, aber spielerisch hat es leider Aufgrund von fehlenden Servern keinen Wert. Man kann nur hoffen das Mods wie Red Alert: A Path Beyond oder CC Conspiracy of Nod rechtzeitig eine tolle Command Conquer Mod fР“r Battlefield 2 oder Battlefield 2142 liefern, denn das Szenario bietet eine Menge SpaР“ und Potenzial.

Eve of Destruction 2 is thinking about releasing a different version of these mod for Battlefield Vietnam next Wednesday, including two new maps, co-op, better AI and even more.
We have finished the job on EoD-BF:V v0.16!
All maps 've got COOP now, improved AI, better lighting and many more improvements. Also every map was checked for bugs to quit these damned crashes to desktop. Its the most stable EoD-BF:V build ever!
Two maps are new in this particular build: Camp Caroll and Que Son Valley wich have already been imported from EoD-BF1942.
It was possible to make this new edition because on the help of some enthusiastic fans.
The websites BF:V section was updated with new screenshots.
Downloads will likely be available on Sept. 15th, 2010.
The server ZIP can be acquired from now on.

We wish to thank everyone for your wonderful support we've enjoyed within the years. Our recent announcement we were overall production on PoE2 brought many old friends around to state hello and voice their support. A big on account of everyone that has been involved in this particular massive production. We hope you carry on and enjoy it for just a long time.
During our final months of production on PoE1, we didnt know when DICE would announce the production date for BF2 and essentially close the doors on our Battlefield Vietnam production. We were very conscious of Battlefield 2 would zap our playerbase and eclipse our work. This led us to take some details that people didnt have enough to wrap up. We hate leaving loose ends and also felt like we didnt finish this chapter in our mod for the point where we'd have liked.
It therefor provides for us great pleasure to announce one more installment in our Battlefield Vietnam modification, Point of Existence PoE1.
