I first began using AVG when Microsoft OneCare which has been also a great security suite notified me them to be not renewing their product way back in first purchase was from Wal-Mart for just two years upto 3 comps plus it worked excellently on my small old Dell with XP actually cleaned up quite a few problems I was having and hasten my computer.I renewed online through Amazon for just a 2 year multiple machine deal that included AVG PC Tune-up in installed and updated flawlessly with no slowdown and again helped to clean-up and quicken my machine. Finally my old Dell needed to be replaced as a result of lack of onboard HD spaceold 40GB 2006in late 2012.I called AVG they remotely assisted in carrying my remaining license time up to my new Acer w/Windows 7 and updated my version for free without the hassle or hesitation.I just updated today for that third time with out a hitch! Never time consuming down, excellent accurate reports, keeps my machine clean running at optimum performance.

I purchased the 2013 version of AVG Internet Security since the 2012 version worked fine on my own system all not too long ago. The new version won't install; I initially got a mistake message regarding the firewall. I spent hours trying almost all their online answers to fix the condition. I called customer support inside Phillipines 3 x. Each time they politely suggested I pay them back 15 to do the installation for me I declined. Then they had me repeat exactly the same steps I had already tried off their online instructions, each time it failed. I emailed them data about the problem; up to 2 weeks later I received an e-mail from them offering to handle the installation remotely. I still dont desire to pay 15, I dont need to hand over power over my computer, and I dont desire to waste much more time within the phone. Its a vicious, nonproductive cycle and I want my cash back. Unfortunately opened software are not returned, so it had been a waste of cash because I am unable to utilize it. The only very good news is Amazons price was the most effective and their service was fine. I am very disappointed with AVG and I suggest you bypass this supplement.

I are actually a loyal AVG customer for several years 10 years. I recently needed to renew my license on version 9 and was compelled to upgrade to version 13 considering that the new license keys is not going to be recognized because of the older version. Fair enough, that old version 9 paid version of Internet Security, not the free version would have been a resource hog and also slowed the start of my system.
I contacted AVG pre-sales support and demanded two things. Did I need to uninstall v9 before install of v13 and may I get an install executable file which require NO web connection to load v13. I was told I could install over v9 without removal and given a link on the downloadable file, after paying my money really should have checked Amazon because I WAY overpaid at AVG site. Found out later the details was wrong, you need to eliminate v9 before installing v13 or you do have endless problems. And the downloaded executable had not been what I asked for since it would not install without an net connection. So I called AVG again, got the right info, a hyperlink to an uninstaller, and link towards the right executable file. Ran the uninstaller together weird issues with the system visiting endless reboot cycles without explanation. Finally cleared that up in this little own, installed v13 which immediately found a virus/malware on initial boot it turns out, was not on my own system and was not ever detected by weekly system scans with v9 just before installing v13. Calls to tech support about it were a huge waste of time as three level 1 agents can't resolve the situation. They had me download a computer program so an isolated agent could see my system and that neglected to function. Then they had me on hold for upwards of an hour expecting some level 2 tech buddy support guy in India who wished to charge me for support. What a joke. Read more

This loaded relatively quickly and does a terrific job of protecting my PC, without any daily intervention needed from me to maintain it running. The interface between this software and my backup system is usually a little weak, but easily handled. The program doesnt take very long to setup after it's loaded, as compared to Norton, which I used to make use of.

ordered this after our Windows Vista laptop became infected.
great value purchasing this from Amazon.
we had a real mess i wiped the difficult drive just before ordering.
my point here is the fact i was doing clean install with a machine without other antivirus software which could potentially conflict with AVG.
i recommend uninstalling another antivirus software including previous versions of AVG before installing AVG internet security.
having declared, installation was simple and easy , problem free.
my experience is the fact that any antivirus software slows performance rather.
my previous experience was with McAfee we found the slowdown was MUCH worse while using McAfee antivirus software.
this software came having a temporary validation code.
i was instructed to register it in order to get a permanent code.
not an issue in my experience, just an FYI.
