Well, some bad reviews here force me to write down my own review due to this excellent dictionary.
By the best way, I am talking about the newest, third edition.
Some people here suggest the dictionary might add the word refudiate. This is wrong!
This wrong word is nowhere found inside it.
The book correctly lists repudiate!
What does work is the Oxford dictionary-makers commented for this word being utilized by Sarah Palin and they also named it word from the year.
They dont condone your message refudiate and so they never said they will ever include it in almost any of their dictionaries.
They just imply that this wrong word is both newsworthy and noteworthy.

I recently got a new Dictionary Stand for my Living Room and searched far and wide for that perfect dictionary to sit down upon this stand. I considered the Oxford two volume set for 400, but Amazon suggested The New Oxford American Dictionary, Third Edition. Amazon displayed sample pages with this new edition and I knew this became the dictionary I have sought. I received the Third Edition inside of a few days and I manipulate the dictionary daily. The Third Edition provides pronunciation, definitions, tells me if the phrase is current or archaic, the etymology with the words, and interesting information about certain words. The dictionary provides far in excess of this. The Third Edition might be read just as if one were reading an exceptionally well written History book.
One caveat, the Third Edition is large and high. This dictionary uses a table or stand committed to its use. It could be considered a chore to choose this book up and take it to a chair for usage. But, I cannot praise this dictionary enough. This Third Edition is for your serious scholar, book lover, historian or for those who want a brief biography in regards to famous person. Finally, book shops charge 60 with this edition but Amazon charged me 37. Buy from Amazon and luxuriate in.
