Ive been a big fan of AOE, and Im glad that Im still capable of continue playing, while Ive switched onto a Mac.
As far as quality goes, the game is still as awesome as I remember it. Its many fun, the graphics turn up nice, it is not bad. However, I do possess a few problems when I seek to make my screen bigger. The program shuts itself down, and I must actually restart the experience to begin playing again.
However, other than this minor fault, the game is a great play. Definitely a recommendation to anyone thinking about buying it.

My fiancee and I play this on multi-player. It works an excellent option for the most part, but occasionally while, it's going to disconnect and that's the end of the sport. We cannot both rejoin the overall game even if it saved itself, or we thankfully saved it. It is weird, it says it's working, but it really just never relinks. For essentially the most part though, it's good.

I got mafia wars back in April and i must say im extremely pleased with it. It came in an excellent package and works perfect in this little computer. The only thing bad i'm able to really say about the bingo is that it will take up many your time:. Excellent game to try out!

Age of Empires II, Gold Edition is really a fun and exciting game. It is very versatile, has lots of amazing features, game types, civilizations, and plenty of in-game complex strategies, units, technologies, and buildings. Although the graphics aren't nearly nearly as good as modern RTS games, nevertheless has a legendary feeling going without running shoes the same also complements the music. Key features include: historical campaigns and new historical single scenarios, pro-level recorded games that is included in the product ideal for improving your strategies, as well as the addicting Random Map games. Please note that I havent tried the multiplayer, but but I believe its through GameRanger, thus it should be good. I had this for PC, now that Im a Mac, I had to be.

For we all that just dont just like the newer Age of Empires this is the experience that we fell fond of. In depth gameplay and not too hard so anyone could learn to try out. I feel the situation with lots of these types of games is because outsmart his or her intended audience. This will not be the case for AOE 2, great strategy game!

If you dont know Age of Empires II it's once again time for you to comprehend it! This game is amazing, but take your efforts to know the action. The 1st CD, the Age of Kings is best, the opposite one much less fun. The only thing I warn the Mac users is always that there might be some compatibility downside to Lion. It worked perfectly well with my Snow Leopard but it really stopped working when I updated to Lion. Its been a little while since I tried again to install the sport again, but maybe the Lion update now allows it to play the bingo. If youre a Lion user give it a look before buying. I didnt rate it less then 5 because the experience is great and it's just not Microsofts fault correctly not working for the reason that Lion update manufactured by Apple is who screwed up. Hopefully it'll work soon!

When purchasing the bingo, I was conscious it had some points that could come by using it. I played Age of Empires first edition when I was a student in middle school, and long ago graphics were terrible, but we didnt have in mind the difference. If youre looking at farmville and expecting great graphics, maybe you should look elsewhere. For those who have matured playing mafia wars, you know it is just not about the graphics, its about combating cultures and building communities!
I had some trouble received it to work in this little iMac when I first installed it, however it worked pretty easily in my MacBook. When trying to experiment with multiplayer, I had to complete some research and problem solving to handle some issues that individuals had. It would kick either members off of the action within just just a few minutes of the overall game starting. And Im honestly undecided what exactly we did to make it to finally work. Im not really a computer whiz, but I know we to create a link between both computers so they really would recognize and present to each other. We still connect utilizing a network cable to guarantee we arent kicked away from a game as a consequence of losing our sync with one another. If you've steady internet, Im sure it could work a bit smoother, but my internet works well at times and after that slows down to beside nothing the following minute.

Not an incredibly subtle approach to maintain an empire. In fact, there's no strategic nuance: It is simply a brawny muscle contest.
If each one of these judgments seem harsh, it's only because Age of Empires looked, and pretends, to get so very far more. It still has plenty of potential along with a fundamental gameplay that stays entertaining enough to beat the flaws and merit an affordable rating. The system will go very far by fine-tuning, but since it stands it seems like downright schizo. Is it a simplified Civilization or possibly a modestly beefed up Warcraft? Its almost as should the designers started over to create one game and wound up with another. With such beautiful production as well as the fundamentals of an vastly entertaining game, its sad who's fell short in the mark. Age of Empires is the greatest strategy game I have ever played. It takes you through time for you to fight in historic battles or build your empire to get rid of other people or perhaps your computer. I am very happy MacSoft designed a Macintosh version of mafia wars. Dispite its exellence, it's mising one people. I have yet to seek out one place online where I could play other people. If you are thinking about buying a game to your Macintosh, get Age of Empires, it is a fantastic game and Ill expect playing you.

I loved the Age of Empires on PC. However, I never got a chance to learn Age of Empires for Mac. I didnt realize that that it was a pre OS X product, therefore, I was not capable to open the download. The information I received from amazon was misleading. I bought the merchandise not knowing it had been not planning to work in this little I MAC. I learned an incredibly valuable lesson. I reccommend that anyone planning to buy boxed software online should verify what they may be getting. The price had also been excessive and must have given me the clue to not buy it. doesn't take back opened software. Unfortunately, I had to spread out up the application and run it to discover out it had been not what I wanted.

Age Of Empires is undoubtedly an incredible game! It will entertain strategy gamers all day on end using its many missions and endless variations of Death Matches. Parents can get this for his or her children too. Each mission is according to real battles ever sold and it provides historical review of what really happened at each and every battle. The different civilizations all have different weapons if you want an uncomplicated game you will discover cheat codes galore. THIS GAME IS A MUST-HAVE!

Historical conflict may be the basis for several a PC and console title. But none provide the goods better, in my view, than Age of Empires. Sure, its a Microsoft game for Mac, but I dont think much with that as my Persian hordes roll into Greece. There happen to be many comparisons between AOE plus the widely-popular Civilization 2, nonetheless its like comparing Apples PCs. AOE is often a true real-time strategy, therefore you control your villagers and send those to collect food, wood, etc., and you dictate your armies which if theyre lucky collect decapitated enemies. Civilization might be more a political-military board game, with turn-based play but not as dynamic a control system as AOE. Not that this really is bad-both games are many fun to experiment with. But I think while Civ 2 wins about the side of depth and scope, AOE wins around the side of excitement and playability. The only strike I have against AOE could be the fact that the units all look and act the identical, whatever civilization you play as. Using a legion of samurai to overpower back a Hittite advance would happen to be wonderful.

Boy, Microsoft really outdid themselves! When I opened your box and started the overall game, I was expecting something such as StarCraft, simple and easy and completely according to battles. However, I was soon subjected to intense strategy and huge amounts of details. For an example, units on elevations do more damage and the opposite way round. Also, much of the experience is concentrated for the gathering of foods, minerals, along with the researching of technology. This isn't any bash n brawl game for former Duke fans. This is hardcore strategy. So, I advise you to definitely buy the bingo. This has kept me adicted since summer when I started using it, and in my view, its greater than Civilization II. Why each of the hype?

It is really a really good game, the graphics are fantastic. I love it after you see your army of 15 horses marching in and attacking everything. Its really fun, althugh for Mac you may only play against Macs and it really is also pretty annoying the Population Limit they have. You also can't build a whole army at a time you should build it soldier by soldier.

I got this beacause I enjoyed both Civilization and Alpha Centauri, also it had come recommended by several of my friends within the PC world.
The animation and focus on detail is basically great, and sort of hypnotic, mostly because in the music. The time needed for development of technology is actually comparatively considerable, however, which means you just type of sit watching these little guys truck around to the bulk on the playing time. This slows gameplay to your virtual crawl.
The intelligence that moderates enemy activity is fairly rudimentary - I found it simple to avoid being attacked just by not going in just a certain distance of one other civilization until I had a significant sized force, which, certainly, took longer. Once engaged, however, moving the consumer units was fun, if not just a little chaotic. And the indivudal units just attack whoever is near them, whether thats a enemy or even a building. The diplomacy settings are appalling basic: they can be radio buttons which simply assign something to each opponent: ally, neutral or enemy, that's usually not enough to obtain them to stop attacking you for a tad, merely to stab them from the back, heh, heh.
Lastly, I more than a bit put off because of the slash and burn tone with the whole game - there is no penalty for simply reducing every tree to produce buildings and weapons, and exhausting every resource. Oh, right, this can be a Microsoft game. In Sid Meiers excellent Civilization and space counterpart Alpha Centauri, you really should watch your consumption levels and pollution. I find this keeps me interested and coming back to learn multiple times.
If you probably like slick animation with the expense of gameplay speed and little snippets of historical information because payoff to get a level, then go ahead and try Age of Empires. If, at all like me, you such as intricacies to build an actual empire, then STICK WITH CIVILIZATION OR ALPHA CENTAURI. The animation may well not be pretty much as good, but thats what movies are for.
