I m much less enthusiastic as Doris. I have the pdf printed not long ago. It isn't a manual in any way. Not even a reference. They are help files great for on line consultation. If you print them, remember there isn't page numbering, no table of contents with no index. On your computer you apply the many links to jump around, that is of course impossible using the printed version. And still some good information is difficult to locate.

This doesn t solve the missing manual problem exactly, but I found a 155-lesson, 12.5-hour video tutorial set on PE11 at The instructor is Andy Anderson. He has somewhat too much personality to me, but if it is possible to overlook that you receive quite a whole look at how you can do things coming from a fellow you will never know his stuff. Photoshop Elements 8, 9 and 10 all suffer through the same major flaw. You can barely read the little fonts to see the printing and icons contrary to the black on grey background. This is especially true should you have a larger resolution monitor which many people do now. I was so disappointed when I purchased this device because I expected much more now from Adobe. They are suppose to get the gold standard of photo editing. I was shocked when I opened this program and could barely make use of it. I have decent vision but I should strain to see the UI printing. There is no solution to adjust the font size or background color in different of these versions. Adobe forums are packed with complaints with this issue and I recommend NOT buying the product until it really is rectified.
Dont waste your dollars until Adobe provides a strategy to adjust UI fonts and background color.

That was what I thought, used the trail version. I liked 9, eventhough it did not try everything well and was not whatsoever easy to understand some instructions lots of internet seeking better tutorials. Im not an experienced guitarist, dont cause me to feel work so hard to understand it, right? The features I used, simple cropping, adding text and several corrections used clone a great deal, 9 was easier and easier to determine the tools! For the price, Ill wait and discover if the next improved version is definitely an improvement.

I wouldn t delete 8 before you re sure your catalog got updated ok in Version 9, so you re seeing your old photos and tags. After that, it is possible to use the Remove Programs option in Windows for getting rid of Elements 8.
It s not about to delete any photos regardless deleting Elements will still only get rid in the program, not your stuff.

I can essentially see why they didn t publish the manual. The PDF for your editor is 327 pages. That s plenty of added cost, plus it s still offered to download for individuals like me who don t know squat relating to this stuff.

Unfortunately, this continues to be a common theme, forcing the client to download and/or print using their own paper and ink. A cost savings to the software manufacturer, but a shifting of cost on the consumer. I think that is short-sighted. Can you imagine investing in a book that incorporates a link with a website where you are able to view it? Oh, I forgot. Those are e-books.

Help in PSE9 I hane 3 hand tool, 3 eyedroppers tools, 3 zoom tools all of the tools are shower 3 in the past.
I hate to inform you this, but I believe you've put 2 Chapter 7s in your soul user s manual found from the HELP portion of Photoelements 9. Maybe I m wrong, however it sure seems like two different subjects are listed to Chapter 7. One was labeled Managing Files and Catalogs, listed as Chapter 7. And the other, a chapter on Color and tonal correction is named Chapter 7. It must have already been missed inside the editing process.
This is GREAT. I am very not used to Elements I have ver 9 and totally lost. Your note on locating the PDF Manuals from Adobe Help was outstanding. I now have a very place to begin with. Your Magazine and your tutorials gives me real encouragement. I tried Photoshop CS but finally threw in the towel after 3 months of intense study. So far I have spent about 6 hrs trying to seek out where the artwork I need is found in PSE9. I scrapbook and combine pics one picture to express to a story. The collage feature in PSE9 is unique from that in version 7 which can be very intuitive. Was this functionality taken out of PSE9?

Why would it say Photoshop Elements 10 when I open Photoshop Elements 9.

I are already struggling thru Elements 10 and thus far finding more frustration than enjoyment or satisfaction. Initially I copied my picture files into 10 assuming their folder/events organization would choose them. Not true. I erased the very first effort and looked up in a very forum how you can achieve my organized pictures goal. I followed the instructions believing that I could import my 25 K pictures into 10 from iPhoto, still organized in groups since they were in Events. Not true. I got files organize by date only and in many cases where date files was changed when I replaced pics with repaired versions they've got random dates.
Can I actually import the files within the previously organized order? If so, where can I chose the instructions? I have started to try labouriously to prepare my files into albums and/or to supply them tags but this is usually a VERY cumbersome and frustrating task given that it can be already done. Would the brand new tags and albums be lost if I re-import the files?
Now a whole new problem. I recently checked my trash file and discovered thousands files. I believe they must be from your above mentioned erasing in the first copy of pictures. I checked to discover what they are and found they are the RAW information files attached with pictures. I don t take or use RAW files so I assume they have to be attached to files on entry into 10 Organizer. I can t find new versions of xmp files so now I wonder if these files are essential and should be restored, thus destroying my subsequent work, or that they will are already replicated and could be removed from trash?
Perhaps related to this particular issue is that this. I using my iPhoto library like a source for random screen savers. This morning I got a black screen proclaiming that there were no pictures from the assigned files. I checked in preferences and located that I cannot re-assign iPhoto like a source. So I checked the library file and found that iPhoto what food was in shadow print and Adobe is at bold. I returned to preferences and selected Adobe. My screen saver returned. What happened here?

I purchased PSE 10 a year ago and was totally disappointed as compared to my existing PSE 8 and CS5.
The dark and gloomy gui is so bad instead of changeable that I left it sitting unused.

The screen is fresh and clean looking, and text and icons are clearly guys did an excellent Looks as good as CS 5. Except with the wierd arrangement in the icons and processes. I still cannot realise why sharpening isn't under filters. I will not comment around the features as the majority of them are comparable to PSE 10 except the brush and pencil tool is very an improvement. For a lot less than 100 It still remains being a very good package and gives much more functionality than something similar to iPhoto.
My gripe is I cannot find any support for RAW files, if it can be there, somewhere, please inform me.
My downloaded version cannot load the organizer, it really any case, i've found organizer is often a poor alternative to Bridge, which came bundled with PSE 8, taking Bridge away was obviously a big disappointment personally in PSE 10, and from now on PSE 11.

Best for photos and video editing with the home user. Cyberlink Directors suite didnt work personally despite its higher rating due to special hardware requirements. I am still learning everything that I can do with this particular, but was able to obtain up and running because interface is reasonably easy. For those considering why they might want this I provide following point. As a hobbyist I found that editing photos and videos was the other half from the photography hobby that I was missing. If youre about to buy video-editing software, you should definitely look beyond the options offered and checkout ease of use too. Note anyone ratings for Photoshop and Primier Elements parts on this video editing software has 3 from 5 stars until now, and I think thats generous. Most people favorably reviewing this product look like people using Photoshop more.
Ive also noticed that this favorable reviews to the video-editing part come from individuals who have upgraded from previous versions and so are happy with all the improvements, but are not a novice to Adobe software.
I was amazed that your company with Adobes reputation generates such user-unfriendly software with your poor help no manual. I purchased Adobe Premier Elements after having used Pinnacle Studio for a long time. I utilize Expert mode almost exclusively and believe it is meets my requirements for creating online educational videos. I gave it 3 stars instead of 4 since it crashed and wouldn't start again, even though turning laptop computer off. I needed to uninstall the purchased software, return the computer to some previous state, then reinstall. Only involved about 4 hours to work that out and I tend to determine what I am doing - - a great many others would probably have quit.
There is not any custom rendering mode, for instance Camtasia has got to of almost any size or resolution. The rendered video can look a serious bit much better than the thumbnail view.
