The latest version of Photoshop Elements has 3 new filters, including this place, Comic. Lori Grunin/CNET
According to Adobe, sudden expenses of its current Photoshop Elements users are no longer 50; so, like among those users, the merchandise has gotten a face-lift for version 11. The result is a lightweight, streamlined interface that ought to appeal on the companys core users. Note: Ive only played around by it a bit, and this falls somewhere in a preview as well as a full review. The interface changes also carry over to its sibling application, Premiere Elements 11.
The 99.99 image-editing program retains its central architecture - - an organizer plus editor, these divided into three basic modules of Quick, Guided, and Expert. Tool options have moved to your bottom from the screen contained in the Action bar. But the initial thing you notice is just how BIG the link and icons have gotten, plus the retreat from your dark-gray interface that's swept through most the Adobes latest-generation applications. A nice byproduct would be that the program is currently a lot easier to utilize on a smaller laptop display.

I could swear that on an earlier version from the program you may simply decide on a bunch of photos and say Identify people.
These will be the two faces I identified in the selected photos inside toggled Photo view. Before I accidentally worked out how to make it happen, all it presented was obviously a page of these default icons, without any clue how you can turn them into faces. Lori Grunin/CNET

I was often unwilling to download the upgrade to Photoshop Elements 11 since I just purchased Elements 10 three weeks ago. However, after noticing that Elements 11 was bragging they had improved the Quick Selection Tool, I decided to choose it. That tool in 10 was solution to cumbersome and frustrating in my opinion. After downloading, my first thought was the style had gone from sophisticated to some less professional look. However, after seen with the software program for most on the afternoon, I really am pleased that I shelled your cash to upgrade. The Quick Selection Tool is soooo much easier to work with and so are many with the other tools. I wish there was obviously a way to add graphics towards the background and accent collection if it's possible, I dont know the way to do it. Overall, the merchandise is much more easy to use for those that arent informed about all from the Photoshop tools. I also wish it wasnt so harmful for upgrade. I have owned Elements 6 for quite a while and put together with several plugins, is really a superb photo editor. I have stayed away in the organizer as I observe that many people use a bad experience by it.
I recently obtained a new camera and unfortunately Elements 6 won't support the raw files so I downloaded Elements 11 to check. Some additional features are brilliant, content aware brush and quck selection tool/refine edges for examplebut in terms in the fundamental editing functions, they may be pretty much just like what exists inside older version, so simple to upgrade on the new one.
I miss some on the features of version 6 - in attempting to simplify the interface they've eliminated what used for being excellent features in older versions. If you already own a version of Photoshop Elements and so are thinking about upgrading to 11, dont. It isnt well worth the extra money. There really arent enough changes to allow it to become worthwhile. Secondly, which is very important, in the event you try the free one month trial to check it and realize, at all like me, which it isnt more than worth it, whenever you uninstall it, it wipes out of the old version! And when I went along to Adobe Chat to ask tips on how to get it back they explained that they dont support any program more than Elements 11. So, no worthwhile improvements, wipes from the older program, with no support to obtain it back. Way to go Adobe! Elements 11 is certainly very interesting in comparison with other Photoshop editions.
