Every year they cook a few minor changes and I finish up upgrading and I have no idea why. I really disliked Elements 12, so since that time things happen to be an improvement, but if you've got 13, you almost certainly dont need this. Unlike some reviewers, I didnt have much difficulty loading both Elements and Premiere. I have had Adobe products so very long, it quickly mentioned my email, I guess from scanning my computer for past installations of Adobe products. I have never used Premiere, so I cant say anything with that yet, but I like to utilize Content Aware component of Elements - - which iPhoto do not have, and thats where I do the bulk of my hard core fast editing, crop, lighten, crop, lighten. Content Aware may take a bird out on the sky, or maybe a telephone pole out on the back of any photo. I even been there remove me completely from waiting in front of any statue, in a click plus it just fills within the blank together with the colors that have been around me, so it seems like nothing was ever there. But I really recommend obtaining a Peachpit or Dummies guide. Photoshop might be very frustrating sometimes - - the Guided Menu was no help in any respect - - and I wind up having to watch tutorial videos or have a very book on my small lap to make the software program do what I wish it to do. And if you dont do fancy things, you'll find free programs like Gimp or Acorn, who do the basics. Full Photoshop you cant even buy anymore. Old copies opting for nearly 1000, along with the new CS version is usually a monthly subscription. Unless you do elaborate help layers and in actual fact design in Photoshop, Elements is already a lot more than you need. But get yourself a book. Really, obtain a how-to book.

This program has got the options from it I had become accustomed to while using full Photoshop software. Certainly, I expect it wouldn't do all that your full version of Photoshop can, but Elements has each of the options I need and require for editing photos for my small enterprise. I was most serious about being competent to crop, rotate, change light and contrast, etc, make images larger or smaller, and that i can on this program. The option is set up so closely to your full version of Photoshop, that there is no learning curve between two versions in the program to me, so easy to work with.
