What if you've no version of PS and need to purchase CS6 with the student/teacher price? Can t still find it anywhere on the site merely to purchase CC. I have 0 involvement in CC. If CC has become such a success you should give people the very last chance to obtain or/and upgrade to CS6? I was debating if you should upgrade from CS5 a period of time ago, because I had a premonition that such as this was planning to happen after looking at the news about the latest features that were only planning to be easily obtainable in CC. Though I didn t expect this kind of total ambush so quickly.
Shame you, Adobe. Even if the CC-only move was inevitable, there have been MUCH better approaches to do it. You must are actually drinking your personal Kool-aid in case you haven t noticed the amount of customers you might have upset and angered using this move.

I loved my Photoshop, but I m not enthusiastic about subscription. Especially whether or not this cost almost double now because it had on an upgrade inside the past every 18-20 months and that you are left with absolutely nothing should you unsubscribe. Now this can be something that will make it a great deal breaker for a lot of people.
It s a moot point now, but I think it might have been handled much much better. If you needed made the CC more pleasing and either comparable in price for just a normal 18-20 months upgrade if available nothing when we unsubscribe still a negative move, I think, or perhaps the price would double want it did now but people would have the capacity to keep some sort of version of it minus the most innovating tools/bells and whistles or perhaps any updates whenever they unsubscribed. It would have given people a motivation to subscribe again. Leaving all of them with absolutely nothing after the many money they paid in to the system will undoubtedly make them bitter and searching for alternative.
This IS a great potential for other companies to fill the gap that Adobe has left.
Why attempt to stop piracy that has a cloud based system? I second or third the request for just a 9.99 multi year subscription for owners on the prior versions. I started using Photoshop in CS3 and still have upgraded each release. I debated about the last upgrade but there have been a few special features that managed to make it worthwhile. I usually do not believe I have ever paid 240 annualized for the upgrade. With this plan, you happen to be in effect paying 360 with the equivalent upgrade which, again mentioned previously is usually 1 . 5 years. I do identify that initially Adobe has added a number of nice features within the CC version of Photoshop but there's no guarantee we anything additional functionality of worth. There probably will probably be some nice features added within the next eighteen months, but at the very least we knew might know about were purchasing once we upgraded to a brand new version under the earlier model.

While I am still not thrilled for the notion of being forced into investing in upgrades before I might want these with this model, the low price would at the very least allow it to make a little more sense for me personally.

I already own Photoshop CS6 Windows, nevertheless the 9.99 offer is great and I ve grabbed it. Now I may use my two activations in this little Mac and PC without buying and tweaking two licenses, and if for a few odd reason I need the interface in the different language, I will not need another license. 120 is usually a great deal, as well as 20 is just not bad. I will have many time to find out how it is for me like a single home user.

I guess my feelings towards Adobe as being a company have changed vastly just within a few days. I had a largely neutral view in the company and also a positive view of the application but now I have a very cynical view as well as a desire to get rid, but nevertheless would prefer to use the program if I don t visit a problem inside the future.
When industry is taken for fools, this would happen, so we have clearly been taken for fools. Believing we wouldn t start to see the price increase due with a low introductory price and the significant negatives to business models for renting software proves this for me.
