However, I had the unhealthy experience of downloading the trial, completed it, the de-haze function is amazing. But once I purchased the standalone version, the dehaze function disappeared! Apparently it is just not available within the standalone version. So to me it almost, almost felt just like a bait and switch. A very unpleasant feeling and I lost trust in Adobe.
Sure, they're going to argue that you got the standalone version, you cant keep having upgrades think software sometime ago. I has not been given the opportunity to find out. Lightroom was downloaded from Amazon to be a stand alone purchase. My Adobe account shows which enable it to recognize this purchase with the serial number. However Adobe creates a singular purchase nearly impossible to register being a stand alone purchase. I called tech support phone, no they cannot handle such problems. Contact tech support - high is no telephone number. I sent an e-mail, wonderful!!!!! The guy would never know what my problem was, provided the run around, hated this and incredibly politely emailed back about my cause of contacting Adobe. I had found his solution already on the net site therefore we were to the beginning. Finally found some instructions that sounded hopeful. Printed out 6 pages of instructions so I may get a handle within this complication. Still no solution. So now I am done I have requested money back refund. Adobe, this is not any way to take care of customers.!!!

This is actually a disappointment. It keeps crashing my iMac computer. I find the spinning death ball when I try and load my RAW pictures and will also not allow me to make any adjustments. Dont upgrade or buy this until this can be fixed by Adobe. It is far too late for me to take it back.

Upgraded and bought my first legit copy of ADOBE because Lightroom is finally around an amount that I can afford and Im ready to pay. I dont just like the cloud idea in any way and having to get internet for doing this to work.
With however I love all of the new features via Lightroom 4 however it is having serious lag some time to Im not confident that its the application or that face that I pulled my library over from LR4 to LR6. It could but that I am also taking care of all my photos from the 4TB Hard Drive with USB 3. I never had these complaints with LR4 along with the lagging when I am seeking to adjust photos or scroll through my Filmstrip is basically slowing down my work flow.

So far so excellent. I have mainly used iPhoto and tried Corel Aftershot Pro, but this place beats every one of them. I have just started entering into it. I recommend going onto YouTube and looking into the many tutorials there. It is a huge lifesaver for any novice user much like me. Anthony Morganti makes some free beneficial videos to acquire going. I suspect what folks care most about are Panorama and HDR. Ive never had performances problems with LR5, and I doubt LR users take tons of pictures of friends over and over again that they desire facial recognition.

Ive been a Lightroom user since version 2 and don't looked back. As a photogapher, Lightroom seemed perfect- it absolutely was light weight, it had been fast, and 99% from the time, it had what I needed so there were no need for photoshop. As such, I was happy which they kept the standalone version if they started Creative Cloud. With version 6 however, I wasnt quite sure perhaps the upgrade can be worth it. Adobe has buried the fact you can get some new existing copy of Lightroom approximately half the price of a new copy. You cant even receive the upgrade without about to their site, and even once you go there they push the subscription option and hide the acquisition option. When you obtain the option to get, just choose upgrade as an alternative to full.
But this version is hardly an upgrade. There are plenty of stand-alone editors that include more options to make HDR images or stitching together panoramas. These are just throwaway features cluttering Lightroom. Adobe was apparently wanting to find something to offer: their sole motivation in moving to version 6 would be to push everyone to cover them perpetually. Its not enough to help them to overprice their software-they are really greedy it shouldn't even want to sell which you copy any further. They want one to pay on a monthly basis for the rest of your health to use it.
The only other new feature would be the use from the graphics co-processor to speed things up. However, Lightroom runs all right as it can be. I never hit a challenge with Lightroom 5 freezing up or running slowly in this little MacBook Pro three years old now.
So, skip the lifelong Adobe tax and skip this version. But if you may need it then search for the upgrade that Adobe is looking to hide by you.
