The little pro first: This can be a great software for managing and editing your photos. I wont deny this.
However, I had the not so good experience of downloading the trial, completed it, the de-haze function is amazing. But once I purchased the standalone version, the dehaze function disappeared! Apparently it is just not available within the standalone version. So to me it almost, almost felt as being a bait and switch. A very unpleasant feeling and I lost trust in Adobe.
Sure, they may argue that you got the standalone version, you cant keep having upgrades think software way back when. I dont dispute that, but no less than be upfront about it in the very clear manner. At least here I present you my experience in order to keep you informed. Hope it assists. I had not been given an opportunity to find out. Lightroom was downloaded from Amazon as being a stand alone purchase. My Adobe account shows which enables it to recognize this purchase through serial number. However Adobe produces a singular purchase very difficult to register being a stand alone purchase. I called tech support phone, no they don't handle such problems. Contact tech support - and then there is no number. I sent an e-mail, wonderful!!!!! The guy were not sure what my problem was, provided the run around, were not impressed with this and extremely politely emailed back about my cause of contacting Adobe. I had found his solution already on the net site and now we were time for the beginning. Finally found some instructions that sounded hopeful. Printed out 6 pages of instructions so I can get a handle for this complication. Still no solution. So now I am done I have requested money back refund. Adobe, this isn't way to take care of customers.!!!

This is actually a disappointment. It keeps crashing my iMac computer. I get the spinning death ball when I attempt to load my RAW pictures as well as not permit me to make any adjustments. Dont upgrade or buy this until this can be fixed by Adobe. It is past too far for me to take it back.

Cannot install on case-sensitive volumes. Im a developer and my stuff must be case-sensitive. Furthermore, it doesn't install on the machine that's ANY case-sensitive volumes upon it even if you have a very case-insensitive volume too. This was verified by Adobe. Ridiculous.
Amazon will not likely refund this, and Adobe doesnt care. Spent 150 for any virtual paperweight. Total BS.

Upgraded and bought my first legit copy of ADOBE because Lightroom is finally around an expense that I can afford and Im ready to pay. I dont just like the cloud idea in any way and having to possess internet for doing this to work.
With with that being said I love each of the new features received from Lightroom 4 nonetheless its having serious lag some time to Im not certain that its the software program or that face that I pulled my library over from LR4 to LR6. It could but that I am also taking care of all my photos from the 4TB Hard Drive with USB 3. I never had these complaints with LR4 as well as the lagging when I am wanting to adjust photos or scroll through my Filmstrip is actually slowing down my work flow.

So far so great. I have mainly used iPhoto and tried Corel Aftershot Pro, but this place beats them. I have just started engaging in it. I suggest going onto YouTube and looking into the many tutorials there. It is a lifesaver for the novice user at all like me. Anthony Morganti makes some free worthwhile videos to help you get going. The file management has become a bit challenging, even so the editing may be outstanding. I know I am just learning so really enjoy becoming a lot more proficient. I highly recommend the product.

Having several thousand images in this little hard drives, with all the majority in RAW format, I consider myself a keen amateur photographer.

Initially I felt very aggravated by LR, as I struggled to learn where the photos were stored. that unlike iPhoto which I used previously, the main photo will not be actually inside the LR programme When the penny finally dropped I started an extensive process of relocating photos from iPhoto to your new home on my small hard drive, as with my experience iPhoto isn't going to seem to be suitable for LR. I then began to be aware of just how important the venue of original photos is always to using LR.
