No matter how I save this, high, low res - transparancy - - I am getting precisely the same problem - a darker box framing the drop shadow effect. It is consistant when I utilize drop shadow effect for some other indesign files likewise.

I didnt look your posts yesterday, but I dont think you could have replicated the condition unless you printed that smaple but got a different color about the background in the text frame after printing. Its not around the sahdow itself, its with that dark rectangle around the background.
Sorry, If that background is gold, I could see its a procedure color inside swatches.

The document CMYK profile affects how visible the advantage artifact is. I developed a test CMYK profile through an exaggerated volume of dot gain from the black plate, so that it is easier to view the edge. Below would be the extra dot gain, default SWOP, and further dot gain with. 5 % noise.

I lightened the background as part of your file and from now on Im starting to find out a dark line defining the top with the text frame I think it absolutely was probably there before, but I couldnt notice against the dark background, but Im still not going to a discolored box.

OK, it came over the second time, plus it prints beautifully here. No sign in the dark line, even that may have been relevant to font substitiution here within my PDF, Im on PC.

Im not only a RIP expert, but you can find others here who will be, for those times you tell us the name and version, we may get some more answers.
One thing to check would be the color mix inside offending box. Assuming the shadow color is Black plus the mode is multiply: should the CMY mix is shifting color inside boundaries from the box, you realize theres some form of color conversion happening once the transparency is flattened a RIP problem?, because multiply wouldnt affect the CMY mix. If the issue is defined entirely from the black plate, you recognize its a blending or banding problem, something noise may likely fix.

I did try earlier with all the 1% noise I needed to wait until I had work to run to plates - same result. Over the weekend, I am going to create multiple files with multiple selections made and run those over and find out what we have.
This may very well be something you already tried, and also a long shot, but perhaps you have tried making your text frame larger? It looks to me much like the shadow is just extending at night edges with the text frame, rather than fading off inside it. Just a
