In August I purchased Premiere Elements 10 and PSE 10 even and installed them satisfactorily in my existing 32 bit Vista computer.
As these days, I have replaced that computer using a much higher spec Windows 7 64 bit computer. However, when I try to setup PRE10 around the new computer, Im greeted using the error message the installer doesnt support a 64 bit OS. If Im installing from disk, I should load disk 2, otherwise I should download the 64 bit version.
I purchased the download version and cant find anywhere for the Adobe site to restore my 32 bit version having a 64 bit one-but the experience of Disk 2 signifies that my purchase ought to have included either.
Anyone have thoughts? Id hate to switch a piece of software only 3 and a half months old.
FYI, the PSE10 installed first try with no issues.
Edited to feature: Just installed my copy of Audition CS6 also with no problems-it only is apparently PRE10 that comes through an installer that doesnt be employed in 64 bit.
Are you saying you did not find the box set but you downloaded the program - - and, in that case, which you re-downloaded the 64 - bit version if you tried to setup on Windwos 7 64 bit?

I purchased the download version way back in August-as far as I remember I wasnt offered to choose 32 or 64 bit didnt have any idea there WAS a 64 bit version and also the download site just auto-detected which version to offer me. I havent downloaded anything new since. As I said, the 32 bit versions of Photoshop Elements 10 and Audition CS6 both loaded and work fine on my own new 64 bit system. The error message implied it had been simply an installer issue-I assume through your reply that the more than this?
Nealeh. Thanks for your suggestion. Will my existing serial number work to convert the trial to your permanent install all of which will I sill be legal in Adobe s eyes? I use a number of their products Audition professionally and desire my installation to be within the up or higher.
Applying the PrE S/N, to essentially convert the trial to full-paid version, may be an option for a long time, and it is perfectly fine together with the EULA from Adobe. I greatly thank you for concern, but as long as it works fine, there shouldn't be any issue, what so ever. This method of conversion on the trial was put into PrPro, at the time of about CS 5, though PrE been with them before.
