First, Im a major fan of Final Cut Studio, and still have been using it from the time Adobe shelved Premiere for Macintosh. When Adobe announced that they are bringing it back, my first reaction was what.
Then I got essentially the most recent version of FCS, and was underwhelmed.
Then I got a camera that saved files in AVCHD, and addressed log and capture, and FCPs constant choking on that format.
So I got the Suite. It makes me happy, and my work looks great.
Premiere and Encore handle Photoshop files much quicker than FCS. Need to edit that PSD file? One click and you are therefore there.
It makes Blu-ray discs. FCS doesnt
The Interface is just not so distinctive from FCP and DVD Studio Pro. The keyboard commands will vary, but you may edit most in your liking.

First, Im a large fan of Final Cut Studio, and have absolutely been using it from the time that Adobe shelved Premiere for Macintosh. When Adobe announced them to be bringing it back, my first reaction was what.
Then I got probably the most recent version of FCS, and was underwhelmed.
Then I got a camera that saved files in AVCHD, and managed log and capture, and FCPs constant choking on that format.
So I got the Suite. It makes me happy, and my work looks great.
Premiere and Encore handle Photoshop files much quicker than FCS. Need to edit that PSD file? One click and you really are there.
It makes Blu-ray discs. FCS doesnt
The Interface will not be so totally different from FCP and DVD Studio Pro. The keyboard commands will vary, but it is possible to edit most on your liking.
It takes any media you throw in internet marketing with no problems, and often without render time.

Perfect for just about any video major. Its got everything, Premiere CS5 can be a lot like Final Cut Pro but more inexpensive and its got plenty of features Final Cut does NOT have and this also was just the trial offer I used. After Effects is extremely good,, especially when youre usually using green screen. Who could ask to get more out on this? This package has all this, Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, Adobe Soundtrack! Yes, folks, its got everthing! I did not have it on this site though i obtained it using a student discount site. However, this is THE package to suit your needs, especially when youre a motion picture major! I cant say something more!
